First Day of Blogging

Today is the first day that my 5th and 6th grade classes will be blogging.

Some things to keep in mind when blogging:

Make sure you use good grammar, spell check for spelling errors, and have complete sentences. As usual, you will need to write at least one paragraph when we blog (using the hamburger method, of course).
Make sure you are consise and to the point when you write.
If you ever make a comment on someone else’s blog, make sure that it is “thoughtful” and “insightful.” Don’t write, “Hey, what’s up?” that’s what Facebook and My Space are for. Also, there should never be any mean or rude remarks written on someone’s site. I will be reading everything (and so will your parents!).

First Week of School

The first week back at school is always a hectic one. Since this is my first time teaching in Rockwood, I got the opportunity to meet around 150 new students all at once! This week we took the year off on the right foot by doing teambuilding activities and creating class contracts. I have a good feeling that this school year is going to be lots of fun.
